Front of House Lead
Walker Homestead is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Front of House Lead to support our team during weddings, farm dinners, open hours and seasonal events. The FOH Lead plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-of service, leading by example on the floor, and helping execute outstanding hospitality in a beautiful farm-to-table setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys teamwork, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to grow in a leadership position. The FOH Lead reports to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the day-of shift lead for front of house staff during events and open hours
Help set up and break down event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Assist with opening and closing duties and ensure cleanliness of FOH spaces
Provide outstanding customer service and act as the main point of contact for guests during service
Support the FOH Manager with staff direction and real-time problem-solving during service
Monitor POS system accuracy and assist with basic cash handling (e.g., tip tracking, drawer counts)
Help train new FOH staff on service expectations and farm protocols
Communicate with kitchen and event teams to ensure seamless service
Enforce safety and sanitation guidelines among FOH staff
Participate in pre-service meetings and post-event debriefs
Represent the spirit of Walker Homestead through professionalism, positivity, and hospitality
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $15–$18 per hour, based on experience
Additional Compensation:
Eligible for a percentage of gratuity pool
Schedule: Part- to full-time hours available; weekends and evenings required

Qualifications & Skills
1–2 years of experience in hospitality, restaurants, or events preferred
Strong communication skills and a calm, professional presence
Ability to lead peers respectfully and contribute to a positive team environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative
Comfortable using POS systems (experience with Toast and Tock a plus)
Physically able to be on your feet for several hours and lift/move event materials
Familiarity with farm-to-table or winery environments is a plus

Your Role
As our Bartender, you’ll curate farm-inspired cocktails and mocktails, provide warm hospitality, and contribute to a bar program that highlights local flavors and handcrafted techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and serve seasonally inspired cocktails and mocktails using ingredients sourced from our farm and local producers.
Engage guests with a welcoming, educational, and interactive bar experience.
Create house-made syrups, infusions, shrubs, and other craft bar ingredients.
Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked bar.
Assist in pairing beverages with our seasonal farm-to-table menus.
Ensure responsible alcohol service and maintain all safety and compliance standards.
Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate new drink concepts based on seasonal harvests.
What We’re Looking For
A passion for farm-to-glass mixology and a love of experimenting with seasonal flavors.
Experience in bartending, craft cocktails, or beverage program development.
Strong guest engagement skills—you enjoy sharing your knowledge and making every drink an experience.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent service.
Knowledge of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverage trends is a plus.
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Server – Create Memorable Dining Experiences

What You’ll Do

Event Assistant – Help Bring Special Moments to Life
Behind every great event is a team that makes it happen.
Do you enjoy creating beautiful, seamless experiences for guests? As an Event Assistant, you’ll help set up, coordinate, and execute weddings, farm dinners, and private events in a picturesque farm setting.
What You’ll Do
Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, décor, signage, etc.).
Provide guest support during events, ensuring a smooth experience.
Work with servers and bartenders to deliver timely food and beverage service.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming event space.
Support the event coordinator in ensuring everything runs on schedule.
What We’re Looking For
Energetic and proactive individuals with a keen eye for detail.
Experience in hospitality, events, or food service is a plus but not required.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and work well under pressure.
Must be able to lift 30+ lbs., work on your feet for extended hours, and be available evenings/weekends.
